The Reports of the Midterm Review of the Implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015–2030

The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction expresses its appreciation to Member States and non-State stakeholders for their commitment to consultations, review and reporting, which allowed the assembly of this important collection of findings and recommendations to guide amplified and accelerated action in the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030.

The Report of the Midterm Review of the Implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 will be available in all six official languages of the United Nations. This report, together with the Report of the Main findings and recommendations of the Midterm Review of the Implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015–2030 (A/77/640) published on 31 January 2023, responds to the mandate as outlined in A/RES/77/164 which “invites States to assess progress, gaps and challenges in the implementation of the Sendai Framework at the local, national, regional and global levels and to share findings, good practices and recommendations with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction, to be included in a report on the midterm review”.

In addition, the UNDRR has assembled a collection of good practices identified by Member States and extracted from the Voluntary National Reports on the Midterm Review of the Sendai Framework, as well as from formal submissions by stakeholders.
